I'm not sure what we were expecting an "Elephant Museum" to be, but we decided to find out. This was a fun little trip for my wife and I one afternoon. Truthfully, it is a candy store...but it does have a "museum" at the front of the store too. It is mostly just a large collection of elephant related "stuff" but it is still interesting to look at. The main attraction though is the candy/treats. You can find anything and everything. We had to try some fudge...homemade. Delicious. I was also excited to get some chocolate-covered potato chips...so good. If you are looking for nostalgia candies...this is a great place to check out. They have an entire room dedicated to Pez as well. There is bound to be something (and probably many things) that you will enjoy. The staff was super friendly as well.

Having lived here for nearly 10 years, we decided it was time to finally visit Mr Ed's when we had both granddaughters for a long weekend. This place is great if you're a candy enthusiast which we are not, however our little ones are. The place was clean and reasonably organized, and not hideously crowded on a Saturday afternoon. It is not at all bins of candy which people sneeze into or spittle on which would be gross. I'm glad we finally went and may return another time with the kiddos. If you've never been, check it out! There is a small play area outdoors, although a little too close to Route 30 for my comfort.

The largest collection of elephant items in the world ! It is an amazing collection and a must experience if in the area. It's all about candy ! There is something for everyone including a vast array of some amazing homemade fudge The service is friendly and helpful. The interior is unique with many unusual displays that are really cool .... Yes, it's a bit of a tourist stop but you will enjoy it

I have seen signs for this place many many times and always wanted to go but was a little too far out of the way. I finally planned a day to go. It was a great addition to our date day, I wouldn't travel to only go there, but I would for sure make it a pit stop. The inside had a wide variety of gifts and knick knacks. They also, of course, have a lot of nuts and candy to pick from as well as fresh fudge. The little elephant museum was super cute to walk thru. It only took maybe 10 minutes to see everything. All in all I would go back maybe once a year to look around and see what they got.

You know how you see roadside attraction billboards all up and down a highway no matter where in the country you are? Well Mister Ed's is definitely a must visit. We talked to a lot of shop owners in Gettysburg and were assured it was worth the drive. Depending on where you are inside or outside of town it's about 20 minutes. They have a decent sized parking lot and nice garden you can walk through and sit down and relax in. Once you enter it will be a step back in time. All those candies you had as a child and can't find anymore they have. They even have candy my wife loved as a kid and I had never heard of. (She's from Reading, PA and I'm from Delaware). They also have books from local authors available along with some knickknacks. In the back they have pictures of celebrities that have visited and there are newspaper articles about the founder and his reasoning behind it and his charitable endeavors. There is a elephant museum you can go through (we haven't done it because we don't have children). They also have one of the largest collections of pez dispensers I've ever seen. They make their own fudge on site and the flavors change seasonally. The staff are some of the most knowledgeable and fun people in the area. We have made many visits here and when family is in town we always squeeze a visit in for them. You can buy prepackaged candy which they have a deal for multiple bags. You can also buy some candy by scooping it into a bag and paying by weight. It is definitely a must visit unlike most roadside attractions.

LOVE Mister Ed's - started coming here when my kids were small & have made a tradition of stopping in when in the Gettysburg Area. Great selection of candies to satiate anyone's sweet tooth, as well as nuts, some unusual sodas, a cool little museum (of elephants, of course) and a lot of trinkets & souvenirs. A great little 'tourist trap' that is worth a visit!
